Round 1 Results, Round 2 Interviews & Retirement Announcement
Congratulations to everyone who finished all their round 2 applications, and may you all enjoy great success in 2011. For that matter, many congratulations to those of you who finished your MBA adventure in round 1. I’m very proud of my clients. In round 1, among other schools, we had acceptances at HBS (2), Stanford (2), Wharton (3 + 3 WL), Kellogg (1 + 2 WL), UCLA (2), Columbia (1), Ross/Ross EMBA (2), Haas (1 + 1 WL), Duke (1), Cornell (1), Yale (1), Tepper (1 w/ unsolicited scholarship), and 2 interview invitations to MIT. We had 4-5 people with 100% interview invitation rates. We also had 3 Fulbright and 3 Rotary scholarship winners.
For those of you preparing for interviews, be sure to see my series of posts on interviewing that I’ve been developing over the past few years. You can find them here.
Finally, I wanted to announce that this year (2011-12, Class of 2014 for 2-year MBAs) will be my last as an MBA consultant. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have a job and a business that were truly enjoyable and challenging, and that let me work with and help world-class people from all over the globe. I'll be returning to journalism through several long-term photo documentary projects, which you can keep track of here.
But I'm looking to go out with the same excellent results I've always had, and for my farewell season, I’ll be working with a select group of about 10-15 applicants. Some of those spaces are already taken, so if you are interested in working with me, please get in touch.
