2 for 1 Brothers! Stanford GSB & Stanford Undergrad

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Bryan Shih during my application to business school in fall of 2021. Prior to working with Bryan, I had worked with a few other MBA admissions consultancies.  While good, the other consultancies lacked the personalized touch, rigor, and constructive feedback that I was expecting but did not receive. I was aiming for the top 3 business schools (Stanford, HBS, and Wharton). The stakes were very high and I knew that to be successful, I needed someone who could provide me with constructive feedback, but also reassurance, when I needed it.

I reached out to Bryan hoping to have someone seasoned who could guide me through the interview process. Since Day 1, Bryan has been much more than a fantastic admissions consultant! He is a trusted advisor, mentor, and an integral part of my business school A-team. 

Bryan’s thorough review of my application and profile manifested itself into a series of tailored questions and coaching sessions that allowed me to authentically build out my story and to put my best foot forward in all of my business school interviews. Many of the questions asked in my interview were around the ballpark of what Bryan and I had prepped for. This was certainly the case for Harvard Business School, where no two candidates get the same roster of questions!

My deep trust in Bryan was what led me to reach out for his help in guiding my younger brother  through his Common Application essay for college. Immediately what stood out to me was Bryan’s patience and his signature-style of digging deep and getting to the core insights. Bryan’s depth of experience in helping his clients navigate through various challenges really sets him apart from other admissions consultants.

I am happy to announce that both my brother and I will be enrolling at Stanford University this fall. Everyone agreed that this was NOT an easy feat, but it was truly made possible with the support and guidance from Bryan. We can not thank Bryan enough!! 

Looking back at the stressful application cycle that I experienced, I can honestly say that Bryan’s secret sauce is his ability to really know you and work with you to bring your unique story to life. When you work with Bryan, you get a rare look into the looking glass of hundreds of applicants that came before you- things that were successful and things that were not. That to me, is what makes Bryan’s wisdom and sage advices priceless.
