Social Media & MBA Applications: Don't Be Stupid

A general reminder: if you are going to do questionable stuff — like social activities without masks or distancing — at least be smart enough not to post it to social media, where an adcom can quickly assess your responsibility, maturity, and common sense or lack thereof. You can take all the chances you want with your own life, but If you look like someone who willingly endangers others, then no program will want you in its classrooms. The same goes for any questionable content: excessive booze, illegal drugs, racist/sexist/homophobic, etc. comments. Don’t let a lapse in judgement doom an otherwise perfect application. If you’re not sure, take it down.
