***NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED A COMPLETE RESUME DRAFT TO ATTEND THE WORKSHOP. ANY DRAFT WILL WORK WELL.***
Good applications start with a good resume. That might sound strange. However, as a structured list of your best academic, personal and professional accomplishments, your resume should be the primary source for your MBA essay topics and later for your interviews. Unfortunately, most MBA applicants do not take full advantage of their resumes.
To do so, you need to go beyond merely describing your job duties, which people in similar positions will share. Instead, you need to detail your accomplishments so that they stand out as unique experiences. We will show you how to do this, using your own resume drafts.
We are structuring this workshop as a “working orientation” — a way for potential clients to actually experience our service as we help you develop the foundation document for your entire MBA application process.
I. Introduction to the MBA Resume: the foundation to your MBA application
II. Workshop – We will discuss how to choose and practice developing your best personal, professional, and academic accomplishments
III. Guest Speakers – we will finish by hearing from several of our most successful clients from this year who will share their best practices for managing the ups and downs of this marathon process
After the workshop participants are welcome to join the “O-iwaikai” party for this season’s successful applicants.
Date: Saturday, April 8
